Apple Crumble

Sweet, a little sharp and healthy enough to be eaten for breakfast or dessert, this easy to make apple crumble takes minutes to create and can be enjoyed raw or baked.

Makes Two Servings

Ingredients

Filling

• 1 tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon
• 40 ml lemon juice
• 50 g pitted medjool dates
• 200 g apples

Crumble

• ½ tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon
• 35 g dried mulberries
• 45 g pecans

Method

In a food processor or high speed blender, process the crumble ingredients on a low speed until broken down and mixed together well but retaining some texture.

Process the filling ingredients on a low speed until broken down and mixed together well but retaining some texture. Transfer to bakeware and top with the crumble. Allow to rest for 1 hour to marinate.

Eat raw or bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
