A soothing and smoothing exfoliating hand balm, this simple to make recipe gently cleanses, hydrates and moisturises and leaves skin lightly scented. Lemon essential oil can cause photosensitivity so use this balm before bed to awaken to smooth and soft hands that are safe during sun exposure.

Coconut Oil

Highly moisturising, coconut oil soothes and heals, slows the appearance of ageing and its antibacterial properties support and maintain healthy skin.

Coconut Sugar

Coconut sugar gently exfoliates whilst boosting skin health with its trace levels of essential minerals that are absorbed as the sugar melts during application.

Himalayan Salt

A source of essential nutrients that help to remineralise the body, Himalayan salt cleanses skin, rebalances pH levels and gently exfoliates.

Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil reduces damage caused by free radicals, supports healing, nourishes skin and has an uplifting fragrance.

Ingredients

• 1 tsp Himalayan salt
• 2 tbsp coconut sugar
• 40 drops lemon essential oil
• 60 g coconut oil

Method

Mix together the coconut oil and lemon essential oil and then stir in the salt and sugar and transfer to an airtight container.

Use a pea sized amount for both hands and gently rub into skin and cuticles until the salt and sugar have dissolved. Wash off with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

Store refrigerated for up to 1 month.
